Shashi Bhushan, an Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow joined the Data Analysis Core Group (DACG) in December 2017. After completing his senior research fellowship in the department of Statistics, University, he started his teaching career as an Assistant Professor in Dept. of Statistics, PUC Campus, Mizoram University since January 2006 where from he moved to Department of Statistics, Central University of Bihar in August 2011. He also served the Department of Applied Statistics, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University prior to hold the post of Associate Professor in Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University.
Shashi has been awarded several academic distinctions including DOEACC, Aizawl & C-DAC, Hyderabad, INDIA. He has been invited to deliver number of invited talks at various seminars, conferences and workshops throughout the Globe. He also chaired 4th IEEE International Conference on Engineering Mathematics and Physics, 2011, Chengdu, China. Shashi organized/ coordinated seven workshops in respect to applications of Applied Statistics including Statistical Modelling using Software. He has been author of several research articles/ papers in various national and international journals of pure and applied Statistics. More than seven students have been awarded Ph.D. and M.Phil Degrees under his supervision. Four major projects funded by UGC has also been successfully completed by Shashi in Sampling Strategies.
As a key member of the DATA ANALYSIS CORE GROUP (DACG), Shashi is extending his expertise SPSS software to a number of researchers of universities and other research institutions of government and corporate sectors across the country.
